Overview

Merlone Geier Partners (“MGP”) is a private real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, development and redevelopment of retail and mixed-use properties in California and adjacent western states.

MGP seeks to make investments in (1) existing retail and mixed-use properties to which it can add value over time, and (2) raw land that can accommodate retail or mixed-use development, with or without entitlements in place. MGP will acquire property in fee, options, joint venture positions or secured notes. Past investments have included a number of complex and large-scale properties, including many that involved lease-up or repositioning of vacant space, physical redevelopment of an underutilized site, entitlement processing, infrastructure planning and finance, environmental remediation and/or changes in land use.

Property Type:

 

  • Existing retail and mixed-use properties with the opportunity to add value through redevelopment.
  • Land suitable for retail/mixed-use development in an urban or suburban setting. Entitlements need not be in place.

Location:

  • California and adjacent western states

Investment Size:

  • No maximum limit

Investment Structure:

  • All Cash
  • Fee ownership or joint venture
