A complex plan to redevelop Northgate mall in San Rafael has a new wrinkle.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Nordstrom Rack has a new location in San Diego.
The store opened its doors Thursday in the Clairemont Town Square shopping center.
Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, offers “great brands at great prices” and up to 70% off apparel, accessories and shoes for the whole family, according to the company.
The 26,000 square-foot store gets new deliveries every week, with 90% of the same brands available at Nordstrom, including Adidas, Calvin Klein and Nike, among others, according to Nordstrom. The store also features beauty products and home goods.
“Clairemont Town Square is a community favorite for shopping, dining and socializing. The exciting addition of Nordstrom Rack to our already diverse collection of retailers will offer visitors an even more vibrant and complete experience,” said Taylor Pham, vice president of Merlone Geier Partners, which owns and manages the shopping center.
With the addition of the new location and 10 other announced store openings, Nordstrom will operate 68 Nordstrom Rack stores, 22 Nordstrom stores, five Nordstrom Locals and one ASOS | Nordstrom in California, according to the company.
There are now five Nordstrom Rack locations in San Diego, as well as stores in La Jolla, Oceanside, National City and San Marcos.
The Clairemont Town Square store opened at 9 a.m. with a grand opening celebration.
The location is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The store is located at 4829 Clairemont Drive in San Diego.
